Methuselah is said to be the oldest living tree in the world. This old tree is a pine tree Great Basin Bristlecone high growth in the White Mountains of Inyo County in eastern California. Methuselah is also known as the oldest non-clonal organism age of its 4842 years of age. This old tree is said to carry the name of Methuselah, a Biblical figure that old age is mentioned in the Bible 969. This oldest tree is growing at 2.900 to 3.000 m (9.500 to 9.800 feet) above sea level in the "Methuselah Grove" in the "Forest of the Ancients" in the Inyo National Forest.
